AZCAR signs partnership agreement in China

With the broadcast market in China predicted to increase to $1.5 billion over the next five years, equipment companies and integration firms have recognized the opportunity and are seizing it.

The latest is an agreement between systems integrator AZCAR Technologies and Novel-Tongfang Information Engineering, a broadcast technology research firm based in China.

Lei Zhang, director of Data Transfer Department at Novel-Tongfang, said that the partnership provides his company with the additional engineering resources to service Chinese broadcast customers as they move from analog broadcast and media technologies into the digital world.

Novel-Tongfang develops digital video broadcast systems, broadband IP data broadcasting and direct-broadcast satellite systems. With its leading technology developments, Novel-Tongfang has developed a strong business relationship with the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) and the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (BOCOG).

AZCAR, based in Markham, Ontario Canada (with offices in Canonsburg, Pa.), is an independent technology integration company offering consulting engineering, systems design, integration, and project management services.
