ATEME to unveil Hi422P for contribution transcoding

At the NAB Show, ATEME will introduce its new 10-bit Hi422P solution for the contribution market.

With 10-bit AVC/H.264 encoding, content is maintained throughout an IP/MPLS network at the same resolution and picture information level as the source, ensuring pristine video quality throughout as well as increased capacity over DVB-S2 satellite feeds.

ATEME also will demonstrate its Kyrion File Encoder (KFE 2), with grid computing hardware for accelerated compression of content. Grid computing is a complete file-based processing solution that transcodes, faster than real time, any HD or SD content into an H.264 stream.

The company also will be demonstrate its live video headend for IPTV and broadcast network services, enabling 24/7 linear content services.
