American Media has appointed Thomas Eugene Severson, Jr. as senior vice president and CFO of the company.
Severson comes to American Media from Paxson Communications , where he served as senior vice president and CFO. During this four-year stint at the West Palm Beach, Fla.-based broadcaster, he revamped its financial and accounting functions, refinancing debt and some preferred stocks.
Severson is also a former vice president and chief accounting officer for Sinclair Broadcast. The broadcaster expanded from 12 to 65 stations during his time.
