Al-Jazeera Orders Pinnacle Graphics Systems
By TVTechnology published
Qatar-based broadcaster Al-Jazeera has ordered an array of networked graphics systems to support its new documentary channel to be launched in early 2004. The order is part of Al-Jazeera's move to standardize graphics operations across the organization on Pinnacle Dekos Thunder clip/still servers, according to Pinnacle.
The order consists of four Deko 1000 character generators; one Thunder XL clip server; and one FXDeko II character generator - integrated with DekoObjex, an option which allows broadcasters to deliver multiple simultaneous information graphics to air using a single character generator; and ClipDeko, an integrated video clip player/recorder. A DekoCast, a FXDekoII and Deko2200s are already in use at Al-Jazeera.
