ADS uses Videotek on-screen monitoring

Advanced Digital Services (ADS), a major video duplication and postproduction services facility in Los Angeles, Calif., has installed Videotek’s VTM-400HD and VTM-320 on-screen monitoring systems in all of its quality control rooms.

ADS purchased several Videotek VTM-400HD multi-format on-screen monitoring systems for high-definition and Videotek VTM-320 multi-format on-screen monitors for standard definition programming.

The Videotek VTM-400HD provides XGA, 1024 x 768 resolution and 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio displays of HD serial digital video in 720p, 1080i and 1080p/24sf formats, and includes on screen measurement cursors for waveform amplitude, time, and vector phase. Real-time signal quality alarms with user-adjustable limits are also standard, and all alarms are time stamped with data from either timecode or an internal clock.

The Videotek VTM-300 series includes all the features from the VTM-200 for monitoring and measuring picture, waveform, vector and optional audio on a single XGA (1024x768) monitor. In addition to handling digital and analog video and audio signals, the VTM-300 Series adds automatic signal quality verification with time and date stamps, multiple waveforms, on screen cursors, multiple line select, XGA loop and bypass, remote PC software control and optional frame capture.
