ABC has purchased a Ross Synergy 4 MD-X multidefinition production switcher for the network's Washington, D.C. facility.
In addition to the switcher, the network also purchased the Ross OverDrive production control system. Installation of both items is expected to be completed by early 2007.

ABC has also purchased an additional three Synergy 100 MD switchers for use in its New York City edit rooms. These are also scheduled for installation early next year.
