ABC Announces the Creation of ABC All News Media

ABC announced that its long-form documentary unit is to be merged with its production unit to form ABC News All Media, a team that will produce content for various platforms inside and outside of the network. Rudy Bednar will serve as Executive Producer and Director, and will report to Phyllis McGrady, Senior Vice President of ABC News Morning, Primetime and Development.

"This new unit combines the award-winning work of very talented producers," said ABC News President David Westin. "Together they will continue to deliver the complex and creative works that have long distinguished ABC News and extend their reach to additional digital platforms. Rudy Bednar has proven his talents for visual story-telling and now we will be able to share those talents with a larger audience."

The new team will continue developing and producing programs for the network and cable clients, and will also be working with ABC News Digital on programming for the ABC News’ digital platforms.

Lisa Zeff, executive producer of ABC News Productions, will remain in that position and report to Mr. Bednar. For the past twelve years, ABC News Productions has been creating documentaries, specials and other programming for cables networks including A&E, Court TV, National Geographic, Discovery and Lifetime.
