AAF Edit Protocol to be announced at IBC
By TVTechnology published
The Advanced Authoring Format Association will introduce the AAF Edit Protocol, a specification for AAF conformance and editing interoperability at this year’s IBC Convention.
The association is a broad-based industry organization that promotes development and acceptance of AAF technology to let content creators, editors and rich media authors exchange video, audio, graphics, text and metadata between applications.
Demonstrations of AAF compliant systems will be held in the IBC Interoperability Center, Hall 3.101. It will include AAF for editing interchange, AAF for audio applications and AAF for 2K productions. AAF will also be shown across the IBC show floor, including at the booths of Adobe, Avid, AIST, BBC Technology, Blue Order, Digidesign, da Vinci, Metaglue, nucoda, Panasonic Broadcast, Quantel, Snell & Wilcox and Thompson GVG.
The AAF Association also plans announcements regarding AAF and the Media Exchange Format (MXF) and the zero-divergence doctrine, new AAF Association members and upcoming AAF events.
