VertigoXmedia and Matrox Graphics to deliver graphics remotely

VertigoXmedia teamed up with Matrox Graphics at the National Systems Contractors Association conference (NSCA) in Las Vegas to showcase their ability to target messages to up to four monitors using Matrox Extio F1400 graphics unit with Vertigo's Xpresenter software. Users can separate the user interface from the rest of the computer over significant distances by using fiber optic cable.

The new Matrox Extio F1400 remote graphics unit is capable of separating the graphics hardware from the computer by up to 250m (820ft) via fiber optic cable. The F1400 also contains six USB 2.0 ports and audio connections that enable the remote use of speakers and peripheral devices such as mics, keyboards and cameras.

Xpresenter is a stand-alone system that turns Microsoft PowerPoint presentations into broadcast-quality graphics and video, in any format and at any resolution.
