Time Warner deploys Everstream software

Operational Intelligence software from Everstream is helping Time Warner Cable manage its data flow for interactive digital cable and broadband services.

Everstream has announced that Time Warner has deployed its S4 Operational Intelligence (Oi) software at Time Warner Cable’s Southwest Division’s Rio Grande Valley, TX site.

The cable operator uses S4 Oi to track key performance metrics for video-on-demand (VOD) usage, quality, and capacity, as well as root-cause analysis to improve service and uptime.

Kami Yamaguchi, Time Warner Cable - Southwest’s director of engineering, said that by using Oi, they’ve been able to measure the performance of TW systems and quickly identify areas of improvement.

Everstream’s S4 Oi provides users with insight into service performance and subscriber experience with actionable feedback for digital services such as VOD. S4 Oi enables clear and concise roll-up of metrics and trends, with the ability to apply and track organization-wide targets through scorecards and dashboards.

The system provides comprehensive management of key performance indicators such as subscriber activity and deactivation, session quality and growth rates, and infrastructure capacity planning. The software supports all major VOD platforms including Concurrent, SeaChange and nCUBE, as well as a wide variety of digital cable architectures.
