FSN extends rights with Pirates, Jazz
FOX Sports Network has reached long-term television rights extensions with MLB’s Pittsburgh Pirates and the NBA’s Utah Jazz.

FSN Pittsburgh secured the telecast rights to a minimum of 120 regular season games with an option to carry as many as three spring training games.

FSN Rocky Mountain acquired the rights to a minimum of 40 regular season games and pre-game shows to be telecast annually.

NBC Sports partners with AEGF Mobile Games
AEGF Mobile Games, a partnership between Abandon Entertainment and GF Capital Management & Advisors, has partnered with NBC Sports for an exclusive worldwide mobile gaming license to create NBC Sports branded games.

Under the deal, AEGF will use NBC Sports content to create wireless video games available on mobile phones, many of which will be directly interactive with NBC Sports broadcasts.

FoxSports.com names Grey senior vice president
Brian Grey has been named Senior Vice President/General Manager of FOXSports.com. Grey was the former general manager of Yahoo! Sports.

SportsHD to specialize in docu-sports
SportsHD Productions launched a sports-based HD television production company.

SportsHD will specialize in docu-sports projects, and its first production will be the Summer World University Games in Izmir, Turkey.

Genthner to head FSN South
Jeffrey Genthner has been named Vice President and General Manager of FSN South. He succeeds Hunter Nickell, who was named Executive Vice President and General Manager of SPEED Channel.
