New PixMaster Software for the Broadcast Pix Studio system

PixMaster is an integrated pre-production environment that simplifies the creation of high impact, multilayer live video.

Broadcast Pix’s PixMaster, the centerpiece of the new Version 3 software for the Broadcast Pix Studio system, is an integrated live video production system that includes a digital switcher; Inscriber character generator; digital disk recorders; still stores; DVEs; a logo generator; and analog conversion.

PixMaster is an integrated pre-production environment that simplifies the creation of high impact, multilayer live video. For example, a producer can click on any of the switcher’s still or graphic stores to reveal its content library, and then click on any element to open it in Inscriber for editing. PixMaster also streamlines live production. Clips and graphics can be set to automatically start as they go on-air, and cue the next one as they come off-air. Panel recalls can synchronize the switcher’s three keyers and DVEs with specific content, to create effects like squeezing over the credit roll at the end of a show, or providing a convincing “virtual set.”

Also announced in version 3 was a free stand-alone version of the Broadcast Pix system for learning, and two new options: a built-in Pinnacle Deko CG and switcher input expansion.

Version 3 will be demonstrated at NAB (booth SL5706), and is expected to ship as a part of the Broadcast Pix Studio2000 system. Version 3 will be a free download for all existing Broadcast Pix customers. The Deko and Leitch options are available now.
