Masstech Group, a provider of archiving and asset management software and hardware, and Sundance Digital, a broadcast automation vendor, announced a joint marketing relationship to provide an integrated end-to-end automation and archiving package for broadcast stations and other media companies. The combined Masstech-Sundance technologies enable television broadcast facilities to automate the production process and maximize their storage systems, both companies said.
Masstech’s MassStore extends audio/video server storage with full content management and tracking features. It interfaces directly with Sundance Digital’s Titan and FastBreak Automation systems to create an advanced asset management core for single and multi-channel environments.
Titan is Sundance Digital’s scalable automation software that helps control from several to many hundreds of channels in a facility or remotely manage channels at multiple locations. FastBreak Automation is a frame-accurate manager of video servers and other station peripherals found within a broadcast facility.
Masstech Group and Sundance Digital are currently collaborating on a number of installation projects that include public broadcast service (PBS) and group-owned television stations.
