Dolphins Stadium in Miami, FL — home of the Miami Dolphins, Florida Marlins, 2005 National Championship FedEx Orange Bowl and 2007’s Super Bowl XLI — is revamping its control room to be an HD facility. As part of the technology upgrade, the stadium has invested in a Synergy 3 MD-X Digital Production Switcher from Ross Video.
The switcher will be an integral component in making the facility completely HD, according to Chad Messina, director of scoreboard operations for Dolphins Stadium. The switcher will make its debut in the middle of the Florida Marlins season this summer.
The Synergy MD/MD-X series of multi-definition production switchers are commonly used in sports stadiums. This line of switchers supports all SD and HD video formats.
