WHBQ-DT surround-sound capable with SSL console
By TVTechnology published
WHBQ-TV, the Fox O&O station in Memphis, TN, has installed a new Solid State Logic C100 HD-S Digital Broadcast Console. The station began broadcasting its local newscasts in HD in June of this year, necessitating the move to an HD capable audio console.
The station broadcasts a total of 36.5 hours of local news a week — more than any other television station in Tennessee. The C100 HD-S console offers an advanced feature set tailored for live broadcast operation and the ability to handle 5.1 surround-sound content provided by the Fox network.
The C100 console will be used primarily for live newscasts and other local programming.
