Video Technics to introduce resolution independent Apella HDS

At NAB2005, Video Technics will roll out the Apella HDS resolution independent video clip server.

Video Technics will launch the Apella HDS end-to-end solution for uncompressed production and transmission at NAB2005.

The Apella HDS is a scalable, multi-format, multichannel and multi-resolution HD video server certified with new high-end NAS/SAN solutions such as the Ciprico DiMeda 1724 and the Matrox Axio HD NLE with Adobe Premiere Pro.

The system’s open platform operates with existing software and hardware, is SD and HD resolution independent, and is compatible with the Apella VCS NewsFlow solution.

The Apella HDS is built on flexible software codecs and is compatible with Final Cut Pro via Quick Time and the Matrox Axio HD NLE with software plug-ins. One Apella HDS chassis offers four independent HD or SD-SDI output ports or two HD or SD-SDI output ports with corresponding key signals.
