Utah Scientific adds option for direct UTAH-400 connection to Kaleido-X

Utah Scientific will highlight the availability of a new option for its UTAH-400 router family that enables direct connection of the router outputs to the Miranda Technologies Kaleido-X series of multi-image display processors.

The new interface takes advantage of the MV-Link (Universal Multi-Viewer Link), which is available as a Kaleido-X input option. Using the MV-Link replaces eight individual coax cables with a single multicore cable, reducing cost and complexity.

In addition, the Kaleido-X offers a direct Ethernet connection to the Utah Scientific router's control system, allowing it to download router source labels for use in the multiviewer's under monitor displays (UMD). The Ethernet connection also lets the Kaleido-X send commands to the router to set up proper source assignments for a determined preset layout.
