Tut Systems has unveiled several new functions for its Astria family of products, which includes the Astria content processor (CP) and Astria video services processor (VSP) lines.
Additions to the company’s carrier-class Astria family include:
- T1.5 IMA network interfaces on the Astria CP for ingest of local content at the edge of a carrier’s network via T1.5 lines.
- IP FEC applications embedded into a commercial IP set-top box enabling use of Tut Systems' Pro-MPEG compliant FEC algorithms.
- A new four-port Gigabit Ethernet line module for the Astria VSP.
- A unified element management of the Astria CP and Astria VSP product lines under the T-View element management system (EMS), which can support up to 3000 Astria CP or VSP nodes.
