Terayon will demonstrate several new features for its DM 6400 Network CherryPicker and BP 5100 digital video processing platforms.
The new capabilities include:
- Support for the H.264/AVC advanced codec. Terayon has extended its broadly deployed MPEG-2 Digital Program Insertion (DPI) capabilities to support splicing and DPI within the AVC encoded programming, thereby enabling digital ad insertion and digital program switching capabilities to support these next generation codecs. Terayon will offer these capabilities as DM 6400 Network CherryPicker and BP 5100 software upgrades.
- Advanced advertising solutions that allow a single ad to be produced, encoded and broadcast from a central location and then dynamically customized downstream to target the specific characteristics of individual regions, cities or neighborhoods.
