Telemetrics reveals full line of pan/tilt systems at InfoComm

At last week’s InfoComm conference, Telemetrics introduced its new PT-LWP-S3 weatherproof pan/tilt head. The fully sealed unit has military-grade connectors and an internal heater to offer exceptional performance even in harsh environments.

The head is protected from the weather via LWP-HOU compact weatherproof housing, included with the unit, and a weatherproof power supply enclosure that delivers power to the camera. The housing protects broadcast cameras and lenses from the elements with heater, wiper and washer options. It is available in various sizes and mounts easily on the PT-LWP-S3 pan/tilt head. External cabling is minimized for additional protection via mounting base with internal cable management. For networked applications, there is direct Ethernet connectivity.

At InfoComm, Telemetrics also showed the PT-LP-S3 LP servo pan/tilt head, featuring smooth, slow or high-speed camera moves, HD camera control and serial control through RS-232, RS-422 and 10/100 Base-T Ethernet. Programmable timed presets start and stop all axes simultaneously. The unit offers a serial camera control interface for most Sony, Panasonic, Ikegami, JVC and Hitachi cameras, plus an aux controls interface for the optionally available trolley, elevating pedestal and elevating wall mount.

The company also featured its PT-LP-S3 pan/tilt head virtual set interface option. This includes high-resolution optical encoder feedback for pan and tilt, in addition to Ethernet connectivity and increased load capacity to handle larger teleprompters. The head interfaces to a virtual set lens interface unit, which mounts directly to broadcast lenses and connects through the pan/tilt head to provide high-resolution positioning feedback of zoom and focus.
