Telecast multiplexers and converters strike with openGear support

At IBC2007, Telecast Fiber Systems will introduce the new DiamondBack 4x4 NTSC/PAL Video Multiplexer with Ethernet.

It transmits four broadcast-quality analog video signals in each direction and features additional inputs to accommodate audio, intercom, and data signals from the Telecast Adder II audio multiplexer line. The Diamondback 4x4 is compatible with the Telecast TelePort and TeleThon systems.

Also, the new CopperHead DLV3X1 camera-mounted fiber-optic HD Dual-Link Video system converts electrical signals to fiber to move uncompressed 4:4:4 and 4:2:2 signals between the camera head and a recording device over one battle-rated fiber-optic cable.

Telecast will be showcasing products designed to support the openGear terminal equipment platform from Ross Video. Based on an open-architecture 2 RU modular frame, it’s designed to accommodate up to 10 cards.

Other Telecast products making their IBC debut are the Telethon transmitter/receiver, which combines Python and Teleport in one device; the Adder II series featuring Adder II BoothPak analog and digital audio-trunking; and the Enhanced HDX unit for the SHED cable elimination system.

Telecast Fiber Systems will be at Stand 10.229.
