TANDBERG presents new version of content delivery system at NAB2008
By TVTechnology published
Ericsson’s TANDBERG Television at NAB2008 launched the latest version of its MediaPath content delivery system, capable of distributing content across most platforms and devices.
The system offers point-to-multipoint delivery of nonlinear digital HD and SDTV programs as well as any other file-based content to receiver locations serving set-top boxes, PCs and mobile media players. Multiple delivery options include MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC, and the system supports DVB-S2 to provide faster satellite delivery while simultaneously enabling terrestrial delivery via shared network. Terrestrial unicast and multicast distribution are supported. Encryption software for security and error correction is included; proactive monitoring ensures that content is flowing throughout the MediaPath system as well as the VOD and asset management systems downstream.
