SIDSA to run DVB-H-based mobile TV network during IBC2007

SIDSA at IBC2007 will be operating a DVB-H-based mobile TV network based on the company’s POLAR PLUS distribution platform.

For the operation, the company will use the POLAR PLUS to distribute several channels of broadcast content, including programming from the BBC, “in the clear” under the CBMS and OMA BCAST standards and encrypted in collaboration with a third party. The POLAR PLUS platform is compatible with the DVB-T, DVB-C, DVB-S and DVB-H standards, and works under an IP topology.

In addition to the POLAR PLUS demonstrations, SIDSA will be showcasing an encryption system designed for distribution of terrestrial networks on satellite links, as well as its DVB-H reference designs based on integrated circuits from IP licensees and partners, along with the company’s DVB-H software stack.
