At IBC2006, Shining Technology announced the European availability of its new CitiDISK for HD, a high-capacity HD camcorder storage peripheral small enough to fit in the palm of the hand.
Weighing 10oz, the FireWire-enabled CitiDISK for HD can record directly from camcorders to most NLE (non-linear editing) software packages, delivering instant playback capability and eliminating the need to re-capture video footage.
CitiDISK for HD supports the Panasonic AG-HVX200, providing additional storage of up to 120GB, or about two hours of record time.
CitiDISK for HD relies on an embedded rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery that automatically kicks in when external battery power runs low to ensure non-stop shooting capability with no need to shut down the unit.
