QuStream Expands Cheetah Line at NAB2007

QuStream Corp. comes to NAB2007 with several new products that address its unique ability to overcome a wide range of infrastructure obstacles. The company will showcase technologies in the high-density PESA routing switchers and the patented signal processing offered in Fortel DTV products.

QuStream breaks high-density barriers with the Cheetah large router series. The Cheetah 864 multirate video router 864x864 is compressed into 41 RU and provides both high-definition and SDI on either copper or fiber in the same frame.

Building on the success of the Cheetah 512XR in 27 RU, QuStream now packs 576x576 in that same 27 RU with the new Cheetah 576XR. It features standard Cheetah input cards, output cards, fiber cards, matrix cards, and frame controllers. QuStream will also introduce the Cheetah 288x288 and 288x576 in 18 RU.

The company will highlight a new version of the Cheetah V5 module that allows a smaller footprint by using fiber when routing DVI, VGA, or RGBHV over long distances without requiring signal boosters or massive amounts of cable.

QuStream will also unveil a new A-to-D/Frame Sync Input Conversion Card for the Cheetah video routing switcher. It converts analog NTSC/PAL to SDI at the input to extend the life of analog gear. The new Cheetah Distributed Routing Switcher 64x64 offers all AES, or all analog, or all timecode, or a mix.

QuStream is also introducing the 603 Distribution/Signal Processing Frame in 3 RU with 20-slots, redundant internal power supplies, frame controller cards and cooling fans. This new frame utilizes QuStream's patented Fortel technology.

QuStream Corp. will be in booth N3418.
