PESA introduces Cheetah 1024XR

PESA has introduced the Cheetah 1024XR, a 1024x1024 router system in two equipment racks.

Before the Cheetah 1024XR system, multiple frames were required that used external DAs with a plethora of coax cable, power supplies and rack space. The two-rack system is achieved by adding an on-board distribution circuit into each 1024X512 frame.

Each 41RU frame allows for low-power consumption, N+1 power and dual internal control. Systems support high quality signal routing for SDI, HD and ASI with either coax or fiber I/O.

PESA also has extended its line of Cheetah routing switchers to include the new Cheetah 512XR, which can be configured to 512x512, non-expandable 1024x128 or 512x256 with fully redundant crosspoints in 27 RUs.

The Cheetah 512XR features low-power consumption; SDI, ASI and HD-SDI signal support; internal fiber I/Os; and optional built-in conversion cards that reduce the space required for high-quality signal distribution.
