PBS Stations Monitor With SignaSys, Triveni

Two PBS affiliates have selected SignaSys and Triveni Digital for the monitoring and measuring of their DTV broadcast streams. KNME-TV, University of New Mexico's Albuquerque, N.M. PBS affiliate, and KQED-TV, KQED, Inc.'s San Francisco's PBS affiliate are using Triveni Digital's StreamScope, which enables broadcasters to record, monitor, measure and analyze DTV streams and signals. Broadcasters can validate reception of their ATSC DTV signals and transport streams throughout their geographic coverage base, and ensure compliance with ATSC standards.

The stations using Triveni's StreamScope can receive an ATSC Compliance Report generated by SignaSys, a San Jose, Calif.-based systems integrator. Targeting stations not yet ready to invest in the equipment, SignaSys's Targeted Service Offering provides a detailed read on a station's DTV transport streams for compliance with ATSC standards.
