Omnibus is planning to demonstrate newly added capabilities for its iTX software-based master control and playout application. The new functionalities address Internet TV and streaming requirements, and can be used either in stand-alone operations or as an extension of a user’s traditional broadcast channels.
The system supports compressed video files, including MPEG-2, MPEG-4 (H.264), DV25/50 and Windows Media, and also wrapped video formats such as QuickTime and MXF. It allows any of these to be input in their native forms and decoded during transmission. iTX combines all of the functionality in a conventional transmission chain into one integrated software suite of applications that may be run on IT servers.
OmniBus will be at stand 8.D41.
