New features in Version 3.0 enables ingest of SD and HD content with new universal conversion tools to control resolution, aspect ratio, color space conversion, advanced deinterlacing, film pull-down removal, and automated audio retiming. Integrated into the iCR Version 3.0 platform is the motion compensated, software-based Alchemist IP SD standards converter with advanced MPEG-4 authoring tools for mobile TV, broadband TV (Web), VOD, IPTV, and portable media players. A new plug-in API integrates the system into any workflow environment.

Demonstrating its enhanced Kahuna SD/HD multiformat production switcher and Impakt DVE, Snell & Wilcox will show its Fluid Effects capability that lets operators wrap live video around any animated model preloaded onto the switcher.

Snell & Wilcox will also show new products for its IQ Modular intelligent infrastructure system with more than 400 intelligent component building blocks for compatibility with emerging 3G standards and metadata-rich infrastructures as well as current analog, SD and HD standards.

The new single-unit IQHIP00 is a second-generation Hyperion quality-control engine for multichannel content monitoring. Reporting through RollMap, the company’s flagship control and monitoring system, provides a rich graphical monitoring environment. RollMap Version 3.1 incorporates custom-defined controls, SMS and e-mail alerts, real-time status and event reporting, audio-level metering, and advanced alarm-level masking and filtering.
