Neutrik has introduced an upgraded version of the company's IP65-rated OpticalCon fibre-optic connector.
The new product features the addition of seals and gaskets to protect against dust ingress and water jets. The new product is 100 per cent backward-compatible with existing connectors in the same family.
"With the introduction of our upgraded OpticalCon, we have fine-tuned our technology to offer our consumers the ultimate in weatherproof connections", Neutrik USA President Jim Cowan, said. "It is designed with all the features of the original, with the added IP65 rating for extreme, weatherproof durability".
The improved fibre connector can also pass up to four copper circuits and a special SMPTE version, optimised for broadcast applications, is also available.
