NETIA to feature new software at French trade show

NETIA has enhanced its Radio-Assist 7.5 range of digital audio software programs and Manreo asset management software range with added functionality to enable broadcasters to converge their workflows in a comprehensive software suite. Both new products will be on display at SEFOR, an upcoming broadcast trade show in France.

To simplify scheduled audio content distribution across multiple sites, NETIA has integrated its U-Share network management system into Radio-Assist 7.5. U-Share automates the exchange of content over IP transport or DVB video transport platforms. U-Share optimizes the exchange of video and audio content through autonomous and automatic management of its transport network, providing the best available exchange for the current network congestion.

Through a partnership with Axia, Radio-Assist 7.5 is now available bundled with customized Axia IP-Audio networking components that allow any Windows-based audio workstation to send studio-grade audio directly to an Axia audio network without a PC sound card. Axia’s audio networking capabilities combined with NETIA’s workflow management abilities provide a scalable, end-to-end broadcast solution.

For users of NETIA’s Manreo media asset management software, the company is announcing Warehouse Web 2.0, an audio and video broadcast and display platform that can provide new services and revenue opportunities. This full-featured software solution provides a system for centralizing, sharing and viewing audio, image and video archives, and broadcasting them across multiple distribution channels (Web portals, mobile devices, ADSL, etc.).

Warehouse Web 2.0 has been developed using the REST (Representational State Transfer) architecture and includes XML Web services, offering up to four ergonomic interfaces. The catalog interface offers Manreo users a global view of all files and metadata, along with more powerful searches. The terminology interface manages the thesaurus and allows the addition, deletion and modification of words and interaction between words. The media interface manages the storage of both audio and video files, while the monitoring interface allows file conversion tracking and workflow publishing to various platforms.
