NAB2005 Hotels Filling Up Fast

NAB is urging attendees to reserve their rooms for the annual show soon, reporting that reservations for preferred hotels is now at 98 percent capacity.

"We are experiencing a high demand for hotel rooms, and are advising people to book now if they want to receive the best rates at preferred hotels in the NAB room block," said Chris Brown, NAB senior vice president, conventions & expositions. "Those who do not book soon through the NAB room block may end up paying higher rates at less desirable hotels."

Among the hotels in the NAB block experiencing high demand are the Bellagio, Hilton, Venetian, Treasure Island, Luxor, Caesar's Palace, Bally's, MGM Grand, Paris, New York New York, Riviera, Stardust, Mirage, Aladdin, Harrah's, Monte Carlo, Stardust, and Flamingo. NAB2005, which runs from April 16 - 21, is expected to draw upwards of 100,000 attendees from all over the world. International attendance is expected to top 20,000 people. Some 1,400 exhibiting companies have reserved approximately 800,000 square feet of exhibit space for the event.

Attendees who register for NAB2005 by April 1 will receive their badge through the mail, and thus avoid standing in line on-site.
