By TVTechnology published
Miranda Technologies will introduce new features for its iControl monitoring and control-over-IP system at NAB2005.
According to the Montreal-based company, iControl has been transformed into a high-level element management system capable of managing complex multichannel and multiformat TV operations comprising hundreds of signals, making it well-suited for incoming feed management, multichannel HD/SD master control and video network operation centers for cable, satellite and IPTV operators.
A new Third Party Zone feature allows third party applications to be hosted directly within iControl, allowing one keyboard and mouse to control all Miranda and third-party applications. Other new features include an embedded Web browser that allows direct access to HTML-enabled devices, as well as a group of scripted macros that allow automatic reaction to element failures and guide operators through complex diagnostic and repair procedures.
iControl Solo monitoring and control software for simpler monitoring and control needs will also be introduced at NAB2005.
Miranda Technologies will be in Booth SU7841.
