Minicom unveils digital signage solutions

Minicom showcased its next set of player-to-screen digital signage solutions, including a distribution system and a long-range extender, earlier this month.

Among these solutions was the company’s DS Vision 3000, a Cat x-based distribution system delivering HD video and stereo-audio content to multiple screens up to 300m away. The DS Vision provides central management control of player-to-screen signal transfer and features full serial management capability allowing administrators to remotely query and turn the displays on and off.

The company is also shipping its DS OpticVision, a long range, fiber-optic extension and distribution system that can also be used in conjunction with the DS Vision 3000. The system extends multimedia transmission by up to 30km between the media player and LCD/plasma screens, without loss of signal.
