Microsoft announced developments at IBC2008 to its Mediaroom IPTV platform.
Among the advances is the Microsoft Mediaroom Advertising Platform. It will let broadband service providers deploying Microsoft Mediaroom offer targeted, measurable, and interactive advertising spots from one comprehensive platform. Advertisers will be given the capability to finitely target advertisements to specific groups, according to Microsoft.
The company also showed its Mediaroom Migration Program, a solution for IPTV operators on first-generation to migrate to Mediaroom. It offers a structured assessment process and analytical tools for migration, including business and technical workshops to review set-top-box portability, network compatibility and audio-visual headend interoperability.
