Microphone accessory specialist Lightwave Audio Systems has introduced a new low-cost news boom pole.
The precision-engineered G5 uses lightweight plastic technology. Instead of metal, screw threads, it features a patented triple-cam locking system that allows for a minimal 15 degrees of twist to lock/unlock the boom sections, which facilitates cleaning and reduces the risk of jamming.
As an option, Lightwave supplies the G5 with an internal coiled cable using Neutrik NC3 XLR-style connectors with gold-finished pins.
