India's TVTN to secure terrestrial news with Irdeto Digital TV

    TV Today Network (TVTN) will use the Irdeto Digital TV solution to protect the content of its premium Hindi and English news channels.

    The channels, which include Aaj Tak, Tez, Dilli Aaj Tak and Headlines Today, will be distributed to more than 10,000 local cable operators in the region using the Irdeto system.

    TVTN is a part of The India Today Group, India's most diversified media group with interests in magazines, newspaper, television, radio, Internet, books and music. The group's portfolio includes magazines, TV channels, a newspaper, a leading classical music label, book publishing and India's only book club. TVTN reaches about 35 million viewers per week.

    The Irdeto Digital TV solution is a conditional access system for encrypting and managing content over satellite, cable, MMDS, digital terrestrial, IPTV and mobile broadcast networks.
