Harris Unveils New Version of NetVX
By TVTechnology published
Harris has launched a new release of NetVX, its video networking platform that provides bi-directional support over ATM, IP, DS-3, fiber, satellite and microwave networks.
NetVX features a low bit-rate SD encoder, supporting contribution feeds at 4:2:0 profiles, SD statistical multiplexing that manages SD video channels from a single box, HD functionality, enhanced HD audio ports for Dolby 5.1/Dolby E carriage and a new design that supports seven HD cards per 5RU frame.
Additionally, IP-over-ASI functionality enables bi-directional IP transport over service providers' existing ASI loops, enabling ENG crews to move content terrestrially between regional hubs to centralize operations via public or private Internets.
