Harris Corp. has announced the release of the latest version of its IconMaster master control switcher. The v 3.0 product provides full SD/HD compatibility and offers several advanced features that pave the way for streamlining workflows.
“IconMaster has a reputation as a powerful and flexible modular master control switcher, and these latest enhancements pack even greater functionality into the same small footprint,” said Tim Thorsteinson, president of Harris Broadcast Communications. “The IconMaster system is ideal for both automated and manual master control, as well as multichannel environments. Features such as Ethernet control, integration with multiviewers, enhanced routing control, and remote software panels provide a particularly strong solution for multiple channel launches.”
The product features a touchscreen-driven software control panel that connects multiple IconMaster module sets to give users internal and external control over channel branding and high quality DVE. An automatic Emergency Alert System is also part of the new switcher’s feature set.
The v 3.0 IconMaster switcher can also directly control Harris Centrio multiviewer technology and the company’s Platinum routers via Ethernet, and in multichannel environments can change both picture-in-picture content and screen layout changes.
Harris also announced a new lower-end version of the IconMaster product, the Lite, for users who want the features and functionality of the full IconMaster system, but don’t require internal branding capability.
