Harris rolls out Maxiva UHF transmitter line at NAB Show

Harris made the North American debut of its Maxiva UHF transmitter line at the NAB Show last month in Las Vegas.

The Maxiva transmitter range consists of two product families: the Maxiva ULX Series of liquid-cooled transmitters for high-power UHF multimedia broadcasters and the Maxiva UAX Series of air-cooled, solid-state transmitters for low-power UHF transmission.

The Maxiva ULX transmitters are well suited for high-power UHF applications, beginning at 1kW and extending up to the highest power levels required for terrestrial digital transmission. The Maxiva ULX can be upgraded in the field from analog to DVB-T, DVB-H, DVB-T2, ATSC and other digital standards. The transmitter comes with the Harris Apex M2X exciter.

The Maxiva UAX, designed for applications ranging from full-market coverage to gap filling, is available in digital power levels from 10W to 2kW. Like the ULX, the Maxiva UAX can be field upgraded from analog to various digital standards, including ATSC M/H, DVB-T, DVB-H, DVB-T2, FLO and others.
