Harman Pro audio systems handle Grand Prix of Figure Skating Finals

In another example of a sports application of Harman Professional technologies, Sovico, a Korean distributor, designed a Harman sound system for the recent SBS ISU Senior and Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Finals held at Ice Arena in Goyang City, South Korea. Sovico provided the design setup for the rink’s audio system. A total of 84 skaters represented 12 International Skating Union member countries during the four-day event, competing in men’s singles, ladies’ singles, pair skating and ice dancing.

Harman supplied the system with 26 Macro-Tech Series amplifiers, six CE2000A amplifiers and eight CE1000A amplifiers by Crown powering JBL Professional loudspeakers including 12 LSR6235P studio monitors, 20 JBL Control 25AV, 43 AM Series, six AE Compact Series, six SRX715 loudspeakers, 14 JBL Control 5 monitors, and 12 PD Series. Other Harman products integrated into the system included two Soundcraft K3 and one K1 consoles; 19 AKG microphones; and additional processing provided by dbx and BSS audio products.

The Senior Final presents 24 entrants competing for $272,000 in prize money. Before the Final, six skaters/couples qualify in the six events of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series.
