Hamlet to launch file-based analysis tools
By TVTechnology published
Hamlet will launch VidScope-vx, a new concept in quality control systems that implements all common tools in a single software platform running on a standard PC, at NAB2007.
The VidScope-vx screen layout is user-defined with up to six simultaneous windows possible, including those for display surround sound, audio level and phase, video waveform, vectors, color gamut and confidence monitor.
Based on the same software algorithms, ReelCheck is aimed at the growing reliance on file-based transfers. ReelCheck performs a complete quality control template check on incoming files automatically in the background, reporting a pass to the automation system and releasing it for broadcast, or storing an error list with time codes for subsequent checking and remedial work. Like VidScope-vx, ReelCheck can examine most common file types in SD or HD, including 4:4:4 dual-link — compressed or uncompressed — and live feeds.
