Focus Enhancements is marketing a Windows-based utility for conversion between DVCPRO HD, DVCPRO 50 and DVCPRO/DV P2 file types and several editing formats, including AVI Type 2, QuickTime and MXF.
The company’s HD File Converter Pro allows users to exchange different file types between various editing systems without quality loss.
“Panasonic’s P2 solutions are being widely used in numerous applications around the world,” said Matt McEwen, senior product manager for Focus Enhancements. “Many customers have been asking for a simple utility that allows for quick conversion between different DVCPRO HD/50/DV file types and NLE formats such as QuickTime. We created HD File Converter Pro to fulfill these customers’ needs.”
In addition to file conversion, the application also supports writing data back to P2 storage, file joining, audio extraction and insertion and more.
