Ericsson to make U.S. introduction of IPTV middleware with IMS support

Ericsson will make the U.S. debut of its new IPTV middleware at Telco TV Nov. 11-13 in Anaheim, CA.

The end-to-end IPTV solution, which is aligned with the Open IPTV Forum specifications, is pre-integrated with IMS and also operates across traditional networks. The solution brings together Ericsson’s new IMS-enabled IPTV middleware, IPTV network infrastructure, video processing solutions and video-on-demand technologies with interoperable third-party products from vendors such as Accedo Broadband, Agama Technologies, Amino, HP, SecureMedia, Sun Microsystem, Tilgin, Verimatrix and ZyXEL.

Ericsson’s IPTV middleware solution gives operators the flexibility and scalability they need to create, trial and deploy a personalized, interactive TV experience to their subscribers, and provide a complete TV package that includes the combination of communication and entertainment as well as interactive, mobile and on-demand functionality.
