Centrance introduces reference headphone amplifier

Centrance has introduced DACport — a reference-quality, stereo 24-bit/96kHz digital-to-analog converter for headphone monitoring over personal computers with a USB connector.

The device uses advanced AdaptiWave USB technology, a JitterGuard clock management system, super-clean dual internal power supplies, an analog volume control and an audiophile headphone amplifier.

The DACport allows critical headphone monitoring from a computer anywhere. Centrance also makes the MicPort Pro, a portable mic preamp with a built-in 24-bit/96kHz A/D converter.

A D/A converter plays 24-bit/96 kHz HD sound with bit-for-bit accuracy. The headphone amp was designed for hours of listening without fatigue. The unit offers clarity, soundstage and detail.

No drivers or power adapters are needed. The DACport easily hooks up to most laptops, netbooks and music servers. It uses USB power and features a stereo, 1/4in headphone jack.
