Broadcast Pix to unveil redundancy system for Slate switchers
By TVTechnology published
Broadcast Pix will unveil a new redundancy system for its Slate HD and SD families of production switchers at InfoComm, June 18-20.
The new redundancy system is now included on the new two-M/E (mix/effect system) Slate 5000 switchers. It is available as an option on all one-M/E Slate models.
The system includes auto-back software and additional storage to maintain a backup copy of all system software, including switcher, CG, multiview, shows, graphics and memories. As users build new shows and create and import new graphics, everything is automatically backed up weekly, daily or even hourly. It also provides redundant power for the workstation with instant auto failover and removable media drives.
