Axia to show new colors, control panels at IBC2007

At IBC2007, Cleveland-based Axia will introduce three new color schemes for its Element consoles and control surfaces. Element products can now be ordered in three color combinations: silver on charcoal, bronze on charcoal, and the original gray on silver combo.

Element control surfaces are designed for live and production applications. With four program buses, four aux send buses, mix-minus, dedicated talk and preview functions on each channel, plus one-touch record and monitor sections, Element can be configured to mix audio in stereo or discrete 5.1 surround with a single button. Another popular Element feature is an onboard three-band digital parametric EQ that can be predefined to load specific EQ whenever a source is activated. Similarly, talent can have personalized mic compressor settings with onboard voice dynamics designed by Omnia Audio.

Axia will also show its IP-Audio system that allows broadcasters to build audio networks of any size using standard switched Ethernet. Axia IP-Audio networks can carry hundreds of digital stereo (or nearly a hundred surround) audio channels over a standard Cat 6 cable, eliminating much of the cost normally associated with wiring labor and infrastructure.
