Avid is now shipping DekoMOS 3.0, a graphics software tool to enhance workflow in broadcast newsrooms.
DekoMOS 3.0 works with Avid iNEWS, enabling users in the newsroom to quickly insert up-to-the-minute Deko news and information graphics into stories. Broadcasters can use Avid Deko character generators to automatically play back graphics with real-time motion on air.
With DekoMOS, newsrooms can promote station brands and create interesting visuals, while reporters and producers can use the system to select pre-approved graphics templates, and add text, still images or video clips to graphics. Other features include a new playback controller that supports up to nine channels of Deko. Additionally, a new automatic spellcheck function highlights misspelled words as users type into the graphics template.
