Allegro debuts signal encoder for live T-DMB delivery for mobile TV, IPTV, Web TV
By TVTechnology
published Allegro's new AL1020 audio/video encoder supplies a single platform for delivering a live T-DMB signal for mobile TV, IPTV and Web TV. It accepts both digital and analog audio and video input and delivers a T-DMB-over-IP signal that can be used directly by a DAB multiplexer.
Several versions of the encoder are available for:
- Basic digital radio applications, with aacPlus audio encoding and downmix and resampling capabilities
- Insertion of static or video images from live video input or an FTP server
- High-end deployments with BIFS insertion for interactivity — for example, MPEG-4 Core2D with BIFS update and carouseling
- Digital program insertion to deliver local or regional content
The AL1020 is SNMP-administrable and can be integrated in any existing management system.
