Accom Introduces AirCleaner Delay Unit

Helping broadcasters deal with today's evolving indecency standards, Accom is launching the AirCleaner SD/HD audio/video delay unit at NAB2005.

Housed in a 1RU chassis with a front panel LCD screen, AirCleaner accepts either SD or HD-SDI video signals and up to eight channels of AES/EBU audio with 24 bit resolution at 48 kHz. It allows a maximum delay of up to 10 seconds in HD and up to 30 seconds in SD formats. The audio and video can be timed together or independently. AirCleaner also accepts embedded audio, and is equipped with two video inputs as well as two (eight channel) audio inputs.

When a "violation" occurs, the video can be programmed to either defocus the current video or switch to the second auxiliary input. The audio can also be programmed to switch to the second auxiliary input or it can be programmed to either mute or tone.

Also new from Accom is the MultiFlexMX SD/HD production server and EasyClip server-based clip composing software. MultFlexMX features Media Management software, faster than real-time network media transfers and scaleable high capacity RAID storage.

In addition, Accom will unveil APR/ClipStoreMX, its latest universal format multidefinition DDR, providing both SD and HD uncompressed video+key+audio (VKA) record and playback in a single disk recorder. It's based on a new hardware platform designed by Accom and coupled with a newly designed NetPanel browser-based graphical user interface. The MXc version of APR/ClipStore offers the same feature set as the MX, but adds JPEG-2000 compressed HD-10-bit digital video and key recording, as well as uncompressed SD 10-bit digital video and key recording.

Accom will be in Booth SU7834.
